ABOUT
Born in Oslo, Norway, Morten grew up in a small suburb known as Asker. He went to serve compulsory 1 year millitary service when he was 19 years old. He then lived in France and worked as a wine guide for a year, before he commenced his studies at University of Northumbria at Newcastle Upon Tyne. By the age of 34, he had studied, worked, and lived in five countries beyond his homeland. From an early age, he developed a strong interest in the arts—both theatre and music played a central role in his upbringing. At the same time, he was a sporty young man, with a natural talent for football and ice hockey.
In 2016 he lost his beloved wife Natalie to a braintumour, who he met at University in 1999. This very painful loss and the long grieving process in the years after, made him re-think his professional course and decided to return to the arts, music, writing and acting.
In 2020, together with two lifelong friends, he began writing lyrics and taking vocal lessons as part of their revived project, Popkanon. Four years later, in 2024, he enrolled in Brian Timoney's Ultimate Acting Programme—a one-year, full-time course in Shoreditch, North London.
Today, Morten divides his time between London - Palma de Mallorca and Oslo.
